"We are strangers to you now, but let us walk with you for a while. Because we have been where you are, and where you are about to go. We do not have all the answers. We offer instead our hands, our hearts, our listening ears, our time, and our experience...So that one day you can turn to another and do the same." (author unknown)

Learning about Autism, Aspergers, and other aspects of Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) is a journey that requires a lot of navigation. Having a guide to show you some of the paths already traveled can be helpful. The Northern Arizona Chapter of the Autism Society of America is here for you, your child, your family, medical professionals, educators and all those with an interest in helping individuals who experience any form of Autism to lead happy and successful lives.
That success can look different for each individual. An approach, treatment, program, therapy or other form of assistance may work well for one person and not for another. The Northern Arizona Chapter of the Autism Society of America can, if you are interested, provide you with information and resources to help you and your loved one in making decisions. The choice of what to try and when to try it belongs to you. The information found on this web site is for informational purposes only. No endorsement of any particular therapy or intervention is implied.

Laura Nagle, past president of the NAzASA, started this event in 2010 with great success. A chance for Aspies and Auties to be comfortable in the company of their own for a weekend of camping and sightseeing in the beautiful forests of Northern Arizona.
You can learn more about that first outing here. As this May draws near we will post more details on this page. You can also get more information from Laura at Laura@LauraNagle.net
Hope to see you there!
